A Tale from... Wildman Wilderness Lodge - 14 Oct 2012

This was our first trip to the NT and we wanted to go bush and experience the National Parks of the area. Wildman Wilderness Lodge delivered and surpassed our expectations on how you should enjoy this region, while at the same time enjoying a bit of luxury and feeling pampered. Its location is perfect for the Mary River Park and also for the one day tour to Kakadu Park which we opted for and thoroughly enjoyed and learned heaps about the area. The safari "tents" are such a great concept as you feel like you are camping out in the savannah surrounded by bush (and wallabies and birdlife) but have the added bonus of electricity, a comfy queen bed with excellent linen and an ensuite bathroom with all the extras provided. All furniture and fixtures are of excellent quality and the daily housekeeping by the young, conscientious, hardworking staff was extremely thorough. The whole property is well maintained and the pool was bliss for cooling down and relaxing by with views of the sunset from this area and from our safari tent. Extremely peaceful and quite magical at sunset. The staff should all be complimented for their high standard of service from the welcome briefing by Jodie and her offsider young chap (Kiwi), to the (two Kiwi)chefs who presented such beautiful meals at breakfast and 3 course dinners each night (loved the different meats and the sorbets) of our 4 night stay, the waiting staff (two Irish twins and another wonderful young lady who gave us accommodation details of the Kimberly region), to the housekeeping staff. The management have chosen their staff extremely carefully. It was great chatting to them all each day. Tours we would recommend are the Home Billabong cruise, the Mary River cruise (abundant birdlife), the quad bike tour to Leichhardt Point (yet more birdlife), the cultural tour of the property by Darryl (our superb knowledgeable local chap) and the must do 1 day Kakadu Park trip. You could also wander down to the Home billabong and just stand and feast your eyes on the amazing birdlife. Watch out for the local dominant male croc who patrols around on this billabong, gliding up and down the river usurping any potential male threats. We had a brilliant time at Wildman and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a real adventure but without having to slum it! Thank you for the great time we had here in the run up to to Wet.

A Tale from... Wildman Wilderness Lodge - 03 Nov 2012

Absolutely amazing, we could not fault Wildmans. The place, the people, the service, the food, everything about Wildmans was terrific! A great long weekend to take time to relax and enjoy the beautiful Northern Territory!

A Tale from... Wildman Wilderness Lodge - 09 Oct 2012

Dawn over Wildmans

I had one great night in the tent, yes it was hot but what do you expect your in a tent in the tropics. They tell you what you are going to get, on the website if you want aircon, book a cabins.

I was treated superbly from the moment I arrived to the time I left. All the stall where brilliant, the food was top notch.

I can recomend the Billabong tour it was great.

For me one of highlight, memories to be remembered and savoured. Like a great bottle of wine

A Tale from... Wildman Wilderness Lodge - 12 Oct 2012

As part of a management team in a hospitality organization in Darwin, I was very keen to see what everyone had been talking about.......Wildman Wilderness Lodge. My husband & I plus 2 friends went for a weekend to rest & relax in the Habitats and one word to describe the experience was WOW!! We all thoroughly enjoyed the accommodation, didn't want for anything and it was very comfortable. The tours were well organized and during the time we visited, there was a special for 3 tours for the price of one. Who could ask for more!!! The pool was extremely relaxing & well attended by staff. All the staff without exception were friendly, attentive & well informed about the surrounding & attractions. The highlight of the weekend was the food.......to find the quality of food & wine so far from nowhere was unbelievable & even the chef chatted to us and of course was very friendly. Could I fault it.....no, not 1 thing. Thank you for a very pleasant weekend. We will continue to tell everyone to visit.
