Quamby gourmet delights

Eighteen people joined us at Quamby Estate last month to discover the culinary delights of Northern Tasmania. The group’s enviable itinerary included hosted tours of renowned Tamar Vineyards and local produce suppliers; plus meals at acclaimed Strathlynn and Stillwater Restaurants.

Anthology’s sales manager in Tasmania, Lynda McKay, said the experience offered guests a unique insight into boutique Tasmanian food and wine production, which is making an impression well beyond the State.

The group enjoyed private tastings at three specialist boutique vineyards and the following day were treated to a behind the scenes look at three extraordinary producers enjoying success with salmon and ginseng farming; raspberry farming and production and truffle growing.

We plan to repeat the weekend again in May 2011.
