“A new year is unfolding - like a blossom with petals
curled tightly concealing the beauty within.”

New Editions newsletter - January 2010

A new year, and new resolutions for us…

A new year, and new resolutions for us…

What new year's resolutions have the Anthology team aspired to?

Before releasing this newsletter, we asked our team to tell us what resolutions they were committing to for 2010. We’re a diverse team of people based in many different locations around Australia. Not surprisingly, the responses have been varied and offer an insight into our company mindset.

Our HR Manager in Tasmania, Jenny, inspired us with a few ideas. We are confident she will not stray from her intentions:

- Laugh every day
- Meditate every day
- Exercise 5 times a week

The sales team at our base at Quamby Estate provided some varied responses. Names have been removed to protect the innocent:

- Be nice to my mother
- Learn to speak French
- Complete a night school "DIY" course
- Go and play in the hills more
- "Stop harrassing me. I'm busy!"

Whereas our team out on the track, the guides and operations staff, had a distinctly environmental theme:

- Spend more time gardening
- No buying bottled drinks
- No shopping at large multi-national corporations

We're pleased to report that although there are a couple of smokers in the team at Wilpena, there are plans to stop this year.

Other inspired thoughts from our team in the Flinders Ranges include:

- Go fishing more
- Get my white sneakers bleached white again
- Enjoy each day for what it is, Fantastic
- Visit my mum more often
- Save money for my honeymoon
- Travel more

And perhaps one of the most encouraging resolutions of all came from James, one of our guides in Tassie, who promised:

- To shave... maybe... at least once this year
