Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to the Travellers' Collective, Anthology’s club for the discerning traveller; and our way of keeping in touch with our guests! This is the first issue of our 'New Editions' newsletter which will keep you informed about the Anthology Collection as it grows.

Our company was formed with the acquisition of Cradle Mountain Huts and Bay of Fires Lodge and Walk in October last year. Our vision is to build a collection of truly unique and interesting travel experiences which showcase what is special about travel in Australia, and that provide guests with deep and meaningful experience worth writing home about.

We plan to complete the development of the homestead into a 17 room lodge by mid 2009.

Explore Outback Australia from Wilpena Pound Resort, South Australia

Explore Outback Australia from Wilpena Pound Resort, South Australia

Wilpena Pound in the heart of South Australia’s Flinders Ranges National Park, is a geological marvel of towering rock walls, abundant wildlife and Australian history. On September 1, 2008 Anthology completed the purchase of Wilpena Pound Resort from the famous Rasheed family - tourism pioneers in the Flinders Ranges region.

Located just outside the pound itself but still within the National Park, the resort is a perfect base for exploring the Flinders Ranges. There are abundant walking and bike trails throughout the Park, plus access to 4WD tours and scenic flights over Wilpena Pound to gain a clear perspective of this extraordinary formation.

One of the most popular servings is the famous “fish in a bag” at Bay of Fires Lodge. Created by local chef Daniel Alps who is based at Strathlynn in the Tamar Valley, here are the secrets to his taste sensation.
