(5 March 2012) The Australian tourism industry has bestowed one of its highest honours – Outstanding Contribution by an Individual – on Grant Hunt, Chairman of Australian travel company, Anthology. The announcement was made at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards ceremony in Cairns on Friday night, 2 March.

Probably the greatest example of recycling in Australian tourism, Wildman moved to its new location in the Northern Territory last year from its previous location at Wrotham Park Resort in Far North Queensland. Following the sale of that resort to current owners, Indigenous Business Australia, it was dismantled and transported 2800km across the country on 18 triple road trains.

Anthology, the Travellers’ Collection – “a compendium of travel experiences” – was launched today in Sydney. The new company is the vision of well-known Australian tourism industry figure, Grant Hunt.
